Since 2017
I have been in the wedding industry since 2017. Having spent a decade in education teaching languages before pivoting to wedding photography, my relaxed editorial style is inspired by years of immersing myself in different cultures and knowing what to say to help people relax.
Super 8mm captured at my OLD MONEY education & content workshop for photographers.
My background
My background in languages has benefited my wedding photography in so many ways. Speaking Spanish fluently and having basic French and Italian has helped me communicate with local suppliers at a number of destination weddings.
Like education, wedding photography requires intuition, empathy, and compassion, and the ability to read the room, adapt prompts to suit all personality types, and communicate in a way that brings the best out of people.
My photography style considers and is sensitive to everyone, regardless of age, gender, race, and sexuality. I never go into a wedding with a set list of poses – instead, I read your body language and make my prompts unique to you. Avoiding gender stereotypes – even with my prompts – allows you to take the lead depending on what you are comfortable with.
ALONGSIDE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I’m an educator and run creative workshops for photographers. I also love to shoot fashion and editorial portraiture and my work has been widely published across platforms like Lensel, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and The Lane.
I have a busy brain but creating brings me a lot of peace. I love it when I take a photo and know just how much it will be adored once delivered, and I'm always chasing that feeling with my work.
Outside of work, I love to get the most out of every day.
Things I love:
getting the most out of every day ~ cuddles with my boys and cats ~ coffee ~ music ~ long hot showers, waking up to the sunshine ~getting lost somewhere new ~ people watching at the edge of an infinity pool ~ unhinged laughter with friends ~ heated seats ~ noticing the little things ~ impromptu plans ~ making people smile ~ watching the same shows again and again (ru Paul's drag race would be my mastermind topic)
